cover song

*slightly tanked and/or not tanked (?), whatever that means*

the time has come for the second semi-to-multiply-annual tradition called “pick the cover song jonathan may or may not play at his next show”! here’s how it works: first, you know that i have a show coming up. i don’t know exactly when, but sometime in february. second, i give you a list of cover songs that i might play. generally, i start a show off with a cover to get in the groove and get people paying attention. then, you leave a comment with whichever song you think should win out. finally, i calculate which song received a majority of votes, and decide whether or not to play that song. if history is any guide, i’ll probably play something not on the list.

that being said, here it is [the list]:

1. motion picture soundtrack (radiohead) [this is the live version, not the studio one with harps ‘n stuff]
2. wedding dress (derek webb)
3. only hope (switchfoot)
4. of up and coming monarchs (pedro the lion)
5. the scientist (coldplay)
6. living in your letters (dashboard confessional)
7. screaming infidelities (dashboard confessional)

so, now is the time for you, blog reader (whether you be outward friend, faithful or faithless reader, known or unknown to me, stalker or suitress, lurker or regular commenter, first-time or hundredth-time visitor), to give me your input. click the comment link at the bottom of this post (which changes depending on how many people have commented; confusing, i know) and vote! you don’t even have to leave your name (but i’ll find out who you are anyway, muhahaha. just kidding, i don’t know how).
