i’ve finished something that i’ve been working on quite a bit recently: the babel text in enaselvai. if you aren’t familiar with it, the babel text is genesis 11:1-9, and it tells the story of how god gave people different languages and spread them over the earth.
for any conlanger (person who makes constructed languages), it’s a traditional thing to translate the babel text into his or her language. it’s sort of symbolic…in fact, one webring (“scattered tongues”) of conlangers refers to the text, and there’s a whole archive (the babel text archive) of the passage in different constructed languages. so, i thought i had better get around to it, and i did.
